The memory game editor allows you to create 'regular' memory games with card pairs containing the same content. If you want to re-use the same text/image/audio, just hit the purple Copy-icon next to an empty field.

To find a matching pair of cards, you have to click on the cards of the same card pair, right after each other. If you do not find the correct pair, the cards will flip back and you can try again :). The game is solved when all memory card pairs are found.

The Premium option 'Force multiplayer' enables a game-mode where players can start and share their own (private) games. Players in the same game session can battle each other to see who captures the most card pairs! :)

GameMaker (originally Animo, Game Maker (until 2011) and GameMaker Studio) is a series of cross-platform game engines created by Mark Overmars in 1999 and developed by YoYo Games since 2007. The latest iteration of GameMaker released in 2022.

GameMaker accommodates the creation of cross-platform and multi-genre video games using a custom drag-and-drop visual programming language or a scripting language known as Game Maker Language, which can be used to develop more advanced games that could not be created just by using the visual programming features. GameMaker was originally designed to allow novice computer programmers to be able to make computer games without much programming knowledge by use of these actions. Recent versions of software also focus on appealing to advanced developers.[1]

GameMaker is primarily intended for making games with 2D graphics, allowing out-of-box use of raster graphics, vector graphics (via SWF),[2] and 2D skeletal animations (via Esoteric Software's Spine)[3][4] along with a large standard library for drawing graphics and 2D primitives.[5] While the software allows for limited use of 3D graphics, this is in form of vertex buffer[6] and matrix functions, and as such not intended for novice users.

The engine's primary element is an IDE with built-in editors for raster graphics, level design, scripting, paths, and shaders (GLSL or HLSL).[7] Additional functionality can be implemented in software's scripting language or platform-specific native extensions.[8] In GameMaker Studio 2, you can choose whether to export the game as an NSIS installer, or a .zip file containing the game, the data.win file, and any files added under the "Included Files" tab in the editor.[9]

Versions 5.0 and below have been freeware; version 5.1 introduced an optional registration fee; version 5.3 (January 2004) introduced a number of new features for registered users, including particle systems, networking, and possibility to extend games using DLLs.[34]

The program currently holds a rating of 8.5/10 on Mod DB based on 223 user reviews; many cite its flexibility and ease of use as positives and instability, crashes, project corruption and outdated features as negatives.[59] Douglas Clements of Indie Game Magazine wrote that the program "[s]implifies and streamlines game development" and is "easy for beginners yet powerful enough to grow as you develop", though noting that "resource objects have to be gathered if unable to create" and that licensing between Steam and the YoYo Games website is "convoluted".[60]

Trivia games are always a great way to have fun, break the ice, and interact with people. These activities have a special way of building and deepening relationships and increasing engagement, which is why companies, teachers, and happy hour hosts are implementing them.

Because trivia games have so many benefits, it makes sense to want to host and play them as well. However, before launching any activities, you should consider using a platform to help you quickly build your game and make it the best possible. For ideas on which ones to use, here are eight trivia game makers that are easy to navigate and full of beneficial features.

Slides with Friends is one of the best platforms to use to build your trivia game. It offers many premade, ready-to-play trivia decks that you can enjoy immediately. Popular ones include Classic Disney Trivia, Huge Movie Trivia Game, Cocktail Convos Happy Hour, and Who's the Smartest? Mini Game.

Additionally, once your game is ready to play, all you have to do is share your screen if you're playing virtually or make your monitor visible if you're playing in person. Your group can access and play your activity using their mobile devices.

Slides With Friends is great if you're looking for a trivia game maker that provides many interactive features. With this platform, your game can have live polls, live word clouds, live photo sharing, ratings, user voting, pass the mic, multiple choice, text answer questions, timers, and more. You can even add a leaderboard to show the top players after each round.

Whether you want to host a meeting, boost student engagement, make homeschooling fun, or have a virtual party, TriviaMaker is there for you. This versatile platform lets you make trivia games for virtual or in-person gatherings. It offers five different game styles: grid, list, trivia, wheel, and tictactoe. That way, you can choose the best look for your activity and group.

One of the best things about TriviaMaker is that it's a cross-platform technology, meaning you can create a trivia game on iOS, Android, or a web browser. Once you've built your game, you can stream it on your phone, tablet, computer, TV, or projector.

Opinion Stage is an online trivia quiz maker that varying brands, marketers, publishers, and educators use. This platform provides trivia quiz templates you can enjoy or customize. You can update a template's font, color, logo, and design by using custom CSS.

Opinion Stage also lets you add social sharing buttons, giving you the opportunity to share your game on different social media channels. Those who want to play can access your activity using their desktop, tablet, or mobile device.

One benefit of Opinion Stage is it provides detailed reports regarding quiz results and your trivia game's performance. With this platform, you'll have a dashboard that gives insight into engagement, conversion, user behavior, results, and the time each user takes to answer every question. If you want to analyze the information more closely, you can export all of this data to a CSV/XLS file. 2ff7e9595c
